(Nasdaq:CMTL) announced today that its Santa Clara, California-based subsidiary, Comtech Xicom Technology, Inc. received orders totaling $3.2 million for the company's Ka-band high-power amplifiers for commercial satellite Direct-to-Home (DTH) services and the emerging high throughput satellite communications market.
Comtech Xicom's power amplifiers, designed for high reliability and superior technical performance, feature state-of-the-art RF power capability and are operational at high ambient temperatures. These fully self-contained TWT-based amplifiers directly mount to the outdoor antenna and meet the long life requirements for the broadcast satellite communications markets.
