Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Receives $1.3 Million Frequency Converter Equipment Order for Government Project

MELVILLE, N.Y., Apr 14, 2008 (PrimeNewswire via COMTEX News Network) -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL) announced today that its Tempe, Arizona-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., received a $1.3 million order for frequency converters. The equipment will be used by the U.S. government to support tactical operations.
Comtech EF Data's LBC-4000 L-Band Up/Down Converter System was included in the order. The LBC-4000 is an indoor converter with two up or down converter modules accessed through the front panel. The up converter translates 70 MHz IF input (140 MHz optional) up to user-selectable frequency at L-band, and the down converter translates user-selectable L-band to frequency in the 70 MHz IF band (140 MHz optional). The LBC-4000 is rack mounted in a standard 19-inch equipment rack.
