Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Receives $11.0 Million of Additional Orders for Its Mobile Data Communications Products
MELVILLE, N.Y., Jul 22, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ:CMTL) announced today that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corp., has recently received $11.0 million of additional orders, $7.2 million of which are for mobile satellite transceivers, ruggedized computers, installation and training services, as well as satellite service time relating to the Movement Tracking System, or MTS, contract with the U.S. Army Logistics Command.
The remaining, $3.8 million of additional orders are for mobile terminal transceivers for Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below-Blue Force Tracking (FBCB2-BFT), a battle command real-time situational awareness command and control system. The FBCB2-BFT transceivers were ordered against the MTS contract. These orders, which were funded out of the Army's fiscal 2004 budget, bring the total orders against the $418 million MTS contract to-date to approximately $110.8 million.
