Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Receives $1.0 Million Contract for High Power Amplifiers

MELVILLE, N.Y., Oct 5, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL) announced today that its New York-based subsidiary, Comtech PST Corp., has received a contract valued at approximately $1.0 million for broadband, high power RF microwave amplifier systems from a prime U.S. defense contractor.

These amplifier systems are used in both U.S. Navy and Marine Corps communications and jamming applications. These systems, which utilize the latest in solid state technology, provide for very broad frequency coverage with smaller and lighter equipment. Delivery of the power amplifier systems are expected to begin in March 2005 and be completed by July 2005.
