Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Awarded $1.5 Million Order for SATCOM High Power Amplifiers MELVILLE, NY - May 14, 2002 - Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq: CMTL) announced today that its New York subsidiary Comtech PST Corp. received a $1.5 million order for high power amplifiers from Rockwell Collins, a world leader in the design and production of aircraft satellite communication (SATCOM) systems.

These amplifiers are utilized as part of a Rockwell Collins system which recently successfully demonstrated high-speed SATCOM data capability using the INMARSAT Swift 64 service. This system will enable passenger e-mail and internet access. This order for high power amplifiers is based upon past performance of previously supplied similar equipment and will supplement a significant installed base of Comtech PST SATCOM high power amplifiers.
