Comtech Names Burt Senior Vice President
Melville, New York - November 18, 1998 - Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq: CMTL) today announced that Richard L. Burt, has been appointed Senior Vice President, effective December 1, 1998. Previously, Mr. Burt was Vice President and President of Comtech Systems, Inc. a subsidiary in St. Cloud, Florida.
Mr. Burt will remain as President of Comtech Systems, Inc., a subsidiary of the Company and will also oversee the administration and operations of the Comtech Antenna Systems, Inc. subsidiary.
Mr. Burt joined Comtech as the Vice President of Marketing from Rockwell Collins in 1979. Since then, he has held various senior positions in marketing and engineering management. In 1984, Mr. Burt was made General Manager of Comtech's new start up subsidiary Comtech Systems, Inc. which was founded to capitalize on the Corporation's expertise in the design and manufacture of over-the-horizon microwave products and systems as well as the design and implementation of digital broad band communication networks for domestic and international use.
